Yesterday I started thinking of the Thanksgiving message Designed 2 Sell would send out this week.
We’ve had a light staging week ...a lot of housekeeping things, wrapping up a few projects and beginning to prep for the holidays. I thought about making a list of things I am thankful for going into this season, and as I started searching quotes on gratitude I was struck by one thing... the words didn't feel like they were enough?
Yes, I am thankful and yes I feel gratitude. But was that sentiment enough to really say what I felt? Those words fell flat to the level of immense gratitude I have today for my team and Designed 2 Sell's growing business. But, I will give it a shot.
I am so thankful for my team. The “Small Army” as a client coined them -- marching around, decor in hand, like an invading troop in a small town. They operate as a singular unit, yet every member has a role and designated tasks. They are each accountable to hold up their end of the bargain, making for successful stagings- sometimes three houses in one day.
I am so thankful for our client base who have become family and the warehouse subcontractors who have helped bring the warehouse to life. After 16 years of renting storage units, I am VERY thankful for this beast of a warehouse.
I am thankful for my family for supporting me through navigating business decisions as I took a leap into owning rental property and my own warehouse. I am thankful for my good health....especially living and working during a pandemic. I am thankful my team and family and friends are healthy.
I am thankful I wake up every morning in the most free nation on Earth...I am thankful for my best friends...some of them help me every single day at work and others who I talk to you on the phone once or twice year...but we still connect in the exact way we always did. I’m thankful for so many things but the words of gratitude and thankful just don’t seem enough. The right word is love. I am so blessed to do what I love to do for a living and to do it with people I love. I want them to know that they, and you, mean the world to me. So yes, I am very thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
With love,
Tammy
